Robert Mueller
Robert Mueller is the new special prosecutor for the investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 American election. Mueller was head of the FBI one week before the attacks on Sep. 11th. Afterwards, his term lasted for 12 years, second only to that of J. Edgar Hoover's of 50 years. Prior to Mueller's term, the FBI had been a response mechanism to terrorist attacks. However, after the Sep. 11 attacks, Mueller transformed the FBI into an organization to thwart such attacks. Even after retiring, Mueller has been sought out in many other cases. In the recent Takata airbag scandal, in which Takata was accused of making faulty airbags that could kill people, Mueller was brought in to distribute the nearly $1 billion that Takata was forced to pay. He was also brought in during the Ray Rice scandal, in which the NFL was accused of hiding video evidence from the jury, to determine whether the NFL hid information from the courts.
